Corn bread & Chili!


Once cooler weather hits I’m ALL about crockpot meals! Chili is one of my favorite things, and my family loves it too. It’s a super easy recipe and you can doctor it to your liking. Some like it chunky, some like it more liquidy. Vegan chili or meaty chili. WHATEVER YOU LIKE. Here is my recipe.

1 package of mild Italian sausage
2 cans of pinto veans
1 package or chili mix
1 can of diced tomato
1 can of tomato sauce (not pictured because i ended up adding it once it was all in the crockpot)

Start browning the Italian sausage. I always cook my sausage before adding to the crockpot. Just my preference.

Add all the cans, packets and seasonings to your crockpot. I also added salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.

All the cooked sausage to the crockpot and mix well. I let it cook on high for about 4 hours.

Corn bread.

I always use this JIFFY mix. All you need is 1 egg and a 1/3 of milk. I also add honey for some sweetness!

I used my daughters mini cupcake baker and it made about 12. Perfect size I think!
Super quick and easy too!

Then BAM! Enjoy with some cheese on top πŸ˜‹
