I’ve always been confused on whether it’s pronounced doughnut or do-nut. Regardless, was craving so did make.
This recipe has a nice subtle honey flavor. Doesn’t quite hit the same as yeast doughnuts, but I hate frying, so a good substitute.
(recipe adapted from 조꽁드 Joconde’s Baking)
Ingredients:
- 130g flour
- 3g baking powder
- 1g salt
- 110g eggs ( 2 eggs )
- 90g granulated sugar
- 22g honey
- 70g milk
- 60g melted Butter
- 5g vanilla
- glaze: powdered sugar + milk
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix all ingredients. Optional: refrigerate for 2 hours (I didn’t and they still turned out yummy)
- Pour into greased donut hole pan.
- Bake 12-15 min.
- Cool.
- Make glaze by combining powdered sugar and a splash of milk until desired consistency. (if you have lemon juice, use that instead of milk for a nice lemony flavor)
- Glaze.
- Consume.
