(baked) Donut Holes

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I’ve always been confused on whether it’s pronounced doughnut or do-nut. Regardless, was craving so did make.

This recipe has a nice subtle honey flavor. Doesn’t quite hit the same as yeast doughnuts, but I hate frying, so a good substitute.

(recipe adapted from 조꽁드 Joconde’s Baking)

Ingredients:

  • 130g flour
  • 3g baking powder
  • 1g salt
  • 110g eggs ( 2 eggs )
  • 90g granulated sugar
  • 22g honey
  • 70g milk
  • 60g melted Butter
  • 5g vanilla
  • glaze: powdered sugar + milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all ingredients. Optional: refrigerate for 2 hours (I didn’t and they still turned out yummy)
  3. Pour into greased donut hole pan.
  4. Bake 12-15 min.
  5. Cool.
  6. Make glaze by combining powdered sugar and a splash of milk until desired consistency. (if you have lemon juice, use that instead of milk for a nice lemony flavor)
  7. Glaze.
  8. Consume.
