Editor’s note: This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers.

If you have a hotel stay coming up over the next few months and happen to hold an American Express card, listen up: You may be able to save some serious cash on your next trip. Many American Express cardholders have reported they’ve been targeted for even more deep discounts at major hotel chains through the Amex Offers program.

That said, it’s important to note that the coronavirus pandemic continues and some states and countries continue to impose travel restrictions. However, many hotel chains offer flexible change and cancellation policies for new reservations — so there’s little risk of booking a stay that falls during the offer periods below. Just be aware of the risk that you may need to cancel the trip as it approaches and double-check the cancelation terms for your booking.

Let’s take a look at the current offers across various Amex cards.

Hilton

There’s a plethora of new Amex Offers across multiple brands under the Hilton Honors umbrella, all of which were found on my own Amex Platinum as well as multiple other Amex cards in the wallets of TPG staffers. Let’s dive in.

DoubleTree by Hilton & Tapestry

You can also save $45 after spending just $225 (or more) at DoubleTree and Tapestry hotels — two mid-tier Hilton brands — through the end of the year. TPG’s Senior Writer Katie Genter found this offer on both her Business Platinum Card® from American Express and her Amex Platinum (as an authorized user).

Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites & Home2

Several TPG staffers found this offer on their Amex cards, including Editor-at-Large Zach Honig on his Platinum card and Editorial Director Summer Hull on her Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card. You’ll receive $50 back after spending $250 or more at Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites and Home2 hotels in the U.S. and U.S. territories. This offer expires July 31, 2021. The information for the Amex EveryDay Preferred Card has been collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn & Tru by Hilton

TPG’s Clint Henderson also found this offer for Hampton on his Amex Platinum card, awarding him a $35 statement credit when spending $175 or more at Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn or Tru by Hilton.

This offer expires on April 30, 2021.

Hilton Hotels, Curio Collection & Canopy

Here’s an offer for $50 back after spending $250 or more at Hilton, Curio Collection and Canopy hotels in the U.S. from now through June. 30, 2021. Several TPG staffers received the same offer on their Platinum Cards, including Editor-at-Large Zach Honig, Senior News Editor Clint Henderson and Writer Chris Dong. TPG’s Editorial Director Summer Hull even found this deal on her Amex EveryDay Preferred.

While swiping the Amex Platinum card for any of these stays won’t get you the best return on your hotel purchase — since you’ll only earn 1 Membership Rewards point per dollar spent — the above discounts should make it worth it.

Remember too that Hilton’s current promotion offers double base points on your stay, and if you activate the complimentary Hilton Gold status that’s provided to all Amex Platinum cardholders ahead of your trip, you’ll enjoy even more perks during your stay.

Waldorf Astoria & Conrad

If you are ready for a little fancy in your travel life, you can get a $100 statement credit after spending $500 or more at Waldorf Astoria and Conrad properties in the U.S. and U.S. territories from now through the end of the year. These are some of the nicest hotels in the Hilton portfolio, which means you can save big on stays like the Conrad Miami or the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.

This offer was available for Clint Henderson’s Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card and writer Stella Shon’s Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card. (Both of these cards currently have limited-time welcome bonuses of up to 90,000 Delta miles if you are in the market for a new card.) This offer expires July 31, 2021.

Nestled in the Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania., you can get a $100 statement credit by spending $500 or more on your booking at the Ledges Hotel if you have this offer available. This offer expires June 22, 2021.

The above offers aren’t the only ones out today. TPG’s Clint Henderson saw an offer for $50 back after spending $200 or more at Marriott on both his Amex Platinum. This offer expires on April 10, 2021.

Opal Grand Resort

Viceroy Hotels & Resorts include popular luxury properties all over the world, including St. Lucia and multiple locations in Mexico. You’ll get $60 back after spending $300 or more at Viceroy Hotels & Resorts on your Amex Platinum.

Bottom line

Any of the above offers can only be added to one card per account holder. You’ll want to check all of your cards first to select the one that offers you the best return on the purchase — or choose one that waives foreign transaction fees for any purchases outside the U.S. and its territories.

Also, these are targeted offers, so you may not see them at all. If you do, I encourage you to add them right away, since these tend to have limited enrollment and may disappear before the expiration date. Also, only 100 Amex Offers will be visible at a time, so if you’re at capacity, add offers to your card to see if any new ones appear.

If you don’t have an American Express card and don’t want to miss out on future offers like these, consider adding The Platinum Card® from American Express to your wallet. The card offers a welcome bonus of 75,000 Membership Rewards Points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in your first 6 months of card membership. You might even be eligible for a targeted 125,000-point bonus offer using the CardMatch tool (offer subject to change at any time). This offer even comes with 10x of U.S. grocery spending on up to the first $15,000 charged in the first six months.

You’ll also receive 5x Membership Rewards points on flights booked directly with airlines or American Express Travel (starting Jan. 1, 2021, earn 5x points on up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year) and 5x points on prepaid hotels booked on Amextravel.com. As a Platinum cardholder, you’ll also receive complimentary Gold status with Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton Honors, so your stays could be even more rewarding. The card has a $550 annual fee (see rates and fees).
