Nothing is better than farm fresh eggs.
If you have been following my chicken journey with the Lucilles, I have an exciting update – the first egg has been laid. Lucille I has laid two eggs this week. The first one was discovered outside in the yard. A couple days later I noticed her starting to sing her egg laying song and going up to her nesting box. She ended up coming out of the nesting box and again leaving an egg surprise out in the yard. But she is trying, it’ll take some time for her to get comfortable using her box.
The photo above shows how small her egg is compared to regular size chicken eggs. It’s so small!
A friend of mine recently gifted me with an egg stamp and some cute silkie stickers. This sent me down a rabbit hole on Etsy and I discovered tons of cute boxes and accessories. When I start gifting eggs to my friends, I’ll be sure to make sure I package them up in an adorable fashion. Scroll on to see some fun ways to personalize your chicken eggs for gifting or selling.
