Create pretty Thanksgiving place settings with these cute napkin fold pumpkins and free printable leaf name tags

A quick and easy way to personalize your fall or Thanksgiving table!


Thanksgiving Place Settings
I love coming up with cute place settings for the holidays. They add such a pretty look to your holiday table and are an easy way to add that personalized touch! Today I have two Thanksgiving place setting ideas to share with you. They’re both quick and easy to do with just a few basic supplies.

Pumpkin Napkin Fold Tutorial
This simple pumpkin napkin folding just takes a couple of minutes to do. You can use them as place settings are even just create some cute pumpkins to display on your table or buffet table. If you’re not using them for napkins, you can always use some scrap pieces of material. It takes a few minutes of practice to get the hang of it, but once you’ve got it, it just takes a couple of minutes to put these together.


Materials orange or white napkins. A light-weight cotton or linen napkin works best. If they’re too heavy {or too light like a paper napkin} they don’t fold in as well. napkin rings or paper towel tube cut to approximately 2 inches. cinnamon sticks or real stick eucalyptus leaves or other real or faux leaves

Instructions Place the napkin wrong side up on the table. Put the napkin ring or paper towel tube in the center of the napkin and pull some of the napkin through from the bottom. Pull equally through all sides.

Fold in the four corners of the napkin to the center.

Grab a piece of the fabric and lossely tuck it into the napkin holder. Make a pleat with the next section of the napkin and tuck into the center again. Continue the same pattern until all of the pieces are tucked in.

Fluff up the pumpkin until you get the look you want. Add a sprig of eucalyptus {or other leaves} and secure with a cinnamon stick pushed into the center.

If you’d like to add a name tag, print out the leaf name tags {found at the end of the post} on thicker paper or cardstock. Cut it out leaving the stem a little longer. Write the name across the leaf and place the stem down into the center of the pumpkin. {NOTE: If you would rather add the name digitally, you can open the leaf printable in a word editing program and just add a text overlay over the leaves.}

Thanksgiving Table Settings #2 – Free Printable Leaf Name Tags
If you’re looking for a super simple place setting, the printable leaf name tags can be used on their own. Just wrap a little twine around the napkin, then around the stem of the leaf and tie a bow.


How to Print the Leaves Choose what size of the leaves you would like from the links below. There’s a smaller version for the pumpkin napkin fold and a larger version you can use if you are using them on their own. Click on the link you would like, download and save to your computer. Print out the printable on thicker paper or cardstock and cut the leaves out. Leave the stem a little longer so you can use it to tuck it into the pumpkins or tie with the twine. For the names, you can either write them on once you have printed off the leaves or use a photo editing program {such as PicMonkey} to digitally add a text overlay before printing.
