Before COVID-19 hit, I was planning to write a post on ways to style a scarf for spring. In fact, I was about to order a cute scarf and give the headscarf trend a try. (Or at the very least, give y’all a good laugh! ) But then, COVID-19 hit. Little did I know that in just a few weeks time the “in” way to wear a scarf would be as a face mask!
That said, I’ve been loving the silk scarf trend lately! It is such a classic accessory that can help complete a look. Scarves can add a pop of color to an outfit, to level-up a hairstyle, or even used as a bag identifier (see #8 below). Some of the best designer brands, such as Gucci, Burberry, or Hermès, have beautiful silk scarves. But you don’t have to spend a fortune to partake in this timeless trend.
In my recent WHBM try-on post, you may remember that I used this versatile long scarf as a belt with several looks my stylist and I put together. I’ve also used it on several of my #adressaday posts on Instagram—as a belt, in place of a necklace, or wrapped twice around my neck and tied in a loose knot. Right now, everything at WHBM is 40% off with code 63224, making it a perfect time to check out this scarf and their entire spring line! (BTW, I’ve got a special project in the works with WHBM right now, so stay tuned for some gingham goodness to come in the next few weeks!)

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been using this time of quarantine to experiment a little bit! I’ve been trying to learn how to wing my eyeliner into a cat-eye. (Bob (helpfully): “You’ve got a black smudge up by your eye.” ) I’ve also been trying a few different things with my hair, like trying to blow it straight(ish) and putting it up in a ponytail. (Family vote: FAIL ) So this might be the perfect time to think about embracing—or at least experimenting with—the scarf trend. Also, a scarf would make a great gift for Mother’s Day or college graduation, so there’s that.
Lucky for y’all, my talented assistant, Natalie, is a scarf aficionado! Scarves are her favorite accessory! Today, I’ve asked her to share her scarf expertise with you. Plus, she found and linked some gorgeous scarves at affordable prices at the bottom of this post. (One way she did not style it: as a quarantine face mask! ) For easy, no-sew instructions on how to do that, click HERE. Um, also, don’t use silk, just sayin’! )
Take it away, Natalie!

My mom always ties a scarf onto her purse or backpack when we travel. It is such a cute and effective way to make sure your travel partners can always spot you in a crowd!
